Sean Reeder, a 280-pound senior lineman who played on the offensive and defensive lines for the Greenwave football team, said he will attend Feather River College in Quincy, Calif., this fall where he will compete for the Golden Eagles.

Reeder was a Northern 3A honorable mention offensive lineman for the Greenwave, which finished the season 7-4 overall, 5-2 in league.

Retired Fallon football coach Brooke Hill, who guided the 2023 Greenwave, said Feather River is looking at Reeder as an offensive lineman because of his 6-foot, 280-pound size.

“He has the size and strength and a lot of experience, three years on the varsity,” Hill said.

Over the years, Hill said Fallon has had success with players who attended Feather River College, including his two sons who competed for the Golden Eagles.

“They have a good program,” Hill pointed out. “They just moved up to the highest division for a JUCO (junior college).”

Reeder said he felt comfortable talking to the Feather River coach who made a home visit. He said their program is similar to the Greenwave’s.

Hill said Reeder has had a great Greenwave career. Currently, though, Reeder has his focus on the baseball season. The Greenwave breezed through the Northern 3A schedule undefeated at 14-0, 21-5 overall. Fallon travels to the regional playoffs next week at Spring Creek.
